What comes in a Tape In pack?
Each Real Hair Co Tape In pack contains 50g of Remy human hair: 20 individual tape pieces, which form 10 sandwiches when applied as paired tabs. Tape In is available in 18-inch, 20-inch and 22-inch lengths.
How much hair do you need?
The right quantity depends on your natural density, perimeter thickness, current length and haircut, target extension length and desired finished fullness. As a general Real Hair Co stylist planning guide:
- 50g / 1 pack: a practical starting point for light volume, filling fine ends or adding fullness while staying close to your existing length.
- Around 100g / 2 packs: a common starting point for fine-to-normal density when adding noticeable length, provided the natural perimeter is not especially blunt, short or dense.
- Around 150g / 3 packs: commonly appropriate where natural density is medium, the starting hair is shorter or blunter, or a stronger length-and-volume change is wanted.
- Around 200g / 4 packs: may be required for thick or very short natural hair, difficult blending, or a major length-and-fullness transformation.
These are stylist planning recommendations, not a guaranteed prescription. Quantity should move up or down according to the starting hair and desired result. If quantity or blending is uncertain, our team can help by photo, video or video call before you order.
Maintenance and reuse
Tape In hair can be reused with fresh tape when it remains in suitable condition and is cared for correctly. Move-up appointments are generally required every 6-8 weeks. Keep oils away from the tape bonds, and use professional application and removal.
